Good lot of four photos signed by notable world leaders, includes: PIERRE TRUDEAU (1919-2000) Fifteenth Prime Minister of Canada. S.P., 4 3/4" x 8" b/w, an official portrait with his title below in French and English, signed beneath the image in blue ink. The photo is accompanied by a transmittal T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Ottawa, Nov. 19, 1969, from Trudeau's secretary to a collector in Ontario. Both pieces show file holes at the top edge, with some toning to the letter, else very good. WITH: MAUMOON ABDUL GAYOOM (b. 1937) Maldivian politician and an Islamic scholar who ruled the country as the President of Maldives from 1978 to 2008. Gayoom was later arrested in 2018 for allegedly conspiring to overthrow the government. I.S.P., 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" color, a chest-up official photo portrait of Gayoom, signed in violet at bottom right and adding the dedication "To Allen" and the date "2/3/1994". In fine condition. Accompanied by a transmittal T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Male, March 3, 1994, from a secretary to an American collector. WITH: JOSE EDUARDO DOS SANTOS (b. 1942) President of Angola from 1979 to 2017. S.P., 8" x 10" color, a view of Dos Santos seated before a microphone. He signs in blue ink at top left. Bears an identifying label on the verso, else very good. WITH: WILLY BRANDT (1913-1992) German statesman who was the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany from 1964 to 1987 and served as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) from 1969 to 1974. S.P., 4" x 5 1/2" b/w, a chest-up portrait of the Chancellor, signed beneath the image in black ink. Shows folds and file holes at the top edge, else very good.
