Rare group of four Lincoln relics, “Sacred Wood”, mounted to a 5 ¼” x 8 ½” printed descriptive sheet. The relics include: 2” x ¾” section of a “roof board” from Lincoln’s Springfield home; a 1” x ½” section of wood floor from the home; a 1 ½” x ½” piece of oak rail split by Lincoln; and a 1 ¼” x ½” section of the Edwards home where Lincoln courted Mary Todd. The four relics and sheet are mounted to the front pastedown of the book: “Lincoln the Poet” by “The Poet Hunter” (New Orleans: The Harvey Press), 1941. First edition, 64pp. 8vo., in blue cloth 7, with worn gold titles. This limited edition with the relics was issued by the Abraham Lincoln Book Shop in Chicago, limited to 300 copies. Ownership signature on title page, fine.
