Good lot of three items signed by notable newspaper cartoonists, includes: JIM DAVIS (b. 1945) American cartoonist, best known as the creator of the comic strip "Garfield". Bold signature in red ink on an 8vo. sheet featuring a printed image of his characters Garfield and Odie. The signed sheet is accompanied by a T.L.S., 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], May 30, 1995, a letter transmitting the above piece to "H.J.", signed boldly at bottom in red ink. Both pieces very good to fine. The original transmittal envelope is also present. WITH: RON FERDINAND, assistant to "Dennis the Menace" creator Hank Ketcham who too over the production of Sunday strips following Ketcham's death. Original signed sketch on a 7 1/4" x 3 1/4" card, a depiction of Dennin the Menace in black ink and colored marker signed at lower right, adding "Two Hands, I Mean To Hans", and the date "4/30/1995". In fine condition. Three pieces.
