(b. 1948) The "Co-Ed Killer", an enormous and terrifyingly smart man who was imprisoned for the murder of his grandparents, but was paroled and went on to murder ten more women, including his mother. A.L.S. "Ed", 2pp. 4to., Vacaville, July 28, 1998, to "Richie". Kemper fills his correspondent in on his life in prison, discussing his plans to provide water to his dorm mates during a summer heatwave, his work as a financial analyst for the prison, and his pitiful salary. He goes on to reminisce about a summer spent in New York and his relationship with his father before his death. He signs at the conclusion in blue ink. Shows original mailing folds, else very good. Also present is his signature "E. Kemper" in blue ink as part of his return address on a 9 1/2" x 2" slip of paper cut from an envelope. Very good, Two pieces.
