Good pair of photos signed by notable R.A.F. aces of World War II, includes: DOUGLAS BADER (1910 - 1982) R.A.F. ace credited with 20 aerial victories, four shared victories, six probables, one shared probable and 11 enemy aircraft damaged. Captured in 1941, he befriended German contemporary Adolf Galland. His many escape attempts landed him in Colditz Castle. I.S.P., 8" x 10" b/w, a waist-up view of Bader later in life with a pipe in his mouth. He signs vertically in black ink along his exposed shirt, adding the dedication "Good luck Ted!" at top left. Very good. WITH: JOHNNIE JOHNSON (1915-2001) R.A.F. ace credited with 34 individual victories, making him the highest-scoring Western Allied fighter pilot in the European Theater. S.P., 8" x 10" b/w, a publicity photo presenting a seated view of Johnson in uniform, signed beneath the image in black ink. The signature shows some slight brushing, else very good to fine. Two pieces.
