(1883 - 1945) Italian dictator whose fascist supporters marched on Rome, securing him power; allied with Hitler, after many military and political setbacks he was captured and executed at war's end by partisans. Manuscript D.S., 2pp. legal folio, Rome, Dec. 20., 1937, the final two pages of an order in Italian, not translated by us but apparently reviewing a number of Eritrean officers. Signed boldly in black at the conclusion by Mussolini, and countersigned Italian king VICTOR EMMANUEL III (1869-1947), also in black ink. Features a red wax seal with an embedded tricolor ribbon beneath Mussolini's signature at bottom left, shows a horizontal fold and minor tears to the edges, else very good.
