Description:

(1942 - 1994) Notorious mass murderer of over thirty young men whom he buried beneath his home, executed after many appeals and postponements. Good content T.L.S. "John", 2pp. 4to., Menard Correctional Center, Sep. 12, 1985. Gacy continues his correspondence with our consignor, a regular pen-pal, in part: "... I want to straighten something out where either I didn't explain enough or you took it the wrong way. I did not get a new trial yet, I am trying to get one with the appeal. I am now on step four which is post conviction, up to now I have only been able to bring out things that happen at my first trial in the court room. Now with Post Conviction I am able to bring out everything that has happen since my arrest, all the wrong doing, and bring up evidence which was withheld from the jury which the state had prior to trial, because it wasn't favorable to their side of the case. But it doesn't mean I'll get a new trial, I have a lot of public pressure and publicity which makes it hard to get justice, then too I have become a public figure of infamous nature, thanks to the news media... My conviction is based on the fact that I owned the property where the bodies were found so I had to be the one who killed them all. What they failed to let the public know, is that I owned five houses... and only at the house that was rented out, where there bodies found. Or that there was 12 keys out to that house on Summerdale, and that I was ut of state when 16 victims disappeared... At the time of my arrest I had two corporations and three companys, making a little over $70,000 yearly. Married and divorced twice, have five children, one boy, four girls. Love to travel like art, music, clowning, and civic affairs... [all sic]" Much more content besides. He signs at the conclusion in red ink. Very good.
